Dance T-shirt quilt I took a T-shirt quilt class by Judy Murrah. This is the first quilt that I've ever made. First experience with piecing together blocks, putting together sashing, border, binding and tieing a quilt. Also pictured is an example of using one of Rachel's band shirts, and making an envelope backed pillowcover - using a T-shirt for the block. I took Rachel's Carol DeAtley shirts, Victoria Strutter shirts, Little Miss Victoriadore Workshop shirts, Nutcracker shirts, and some of her Strutter Officer Camp shirts and made this quilt in time for her 13th birthday. |
Beginnings of Stanly T-Shirt quilt. Teachers and friends donated the Stanly shirts, to be included in the quilt. The quilt is to be used as a fundraiser to help raise funds for the playground equipment for Chandler School. |
Finished Stanly quilt top Next steps are to layer the backing, batting and quilt top in order to tie the quilt together. Then square off the edges, and attach the binding, do a little machine quilting along the edges with my Singer Featherweight. |
